Bangalore, Nov : Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), an integrated smart city being developed as a Global Financial Hub, has won the e-LETS Award for its unique City Command and Control Centre (C-4).
GIFT is India’s first Smart City with best-in-class sustainability features and technologies.
GIFT City is the recipient of “Innovative solution for Smart Cities”, an accolade that recognises stand-out organisational contributions in driving change through technology.
The award was conferred to GIFT City’s Vice President –ICT Nilesh Kumar Purey by R. Chandrashekhar- President- NASCCOM in the 10th edition of the conference named “e-INDIA” organised in Kovalam (Trivandrum, Kerala) on November 15.
This conference was hosted by “e-LETS Technomedia”, India’s premier information and communication technology (ICT) event organization who works with various government and private agencies for promotion of e-Governance in various sectors across India and creating awareness about digital India .
The Conference was also attended by Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandi, Minister of IT & Industries state of Kerala P. K. Kuhalikutty, Principal Secretary IT, Govt of Kerala P.H.Kurian and many other senior I.A.S. officers, dignitaries from industry, civil society, academia and private sector.

During the conference GIFT City’s Vice President –Infrastructure Planning, Ganeshbabu Kolisetty presented a key note paper on GIFT City’s Smart Infrastructure Development.
Unique infrastructure facilities of entire GIFT City like District Cooling System (DCS), Automated Waste Management System (AWMS), Water Management System, Power Infrastructure, City’s safety, security and surveillance, Parking Management and Traffic management are all managed and monitored through a single platform called “City Command and Control centre (C-4)”. Phase 1 of City Command and Control Centre (C-4) has already been completed and implementation of further phases is in progress.
There are two parts of GIFT City’s Command and Control Centre (C-4). The first part, platform, hosts all the Utilities and provides a complete view of the City Infrastructure. The second part is hosting CCTV Surveillance, Integration of IBMS of various buildings and tracking critical parameters like fire and safety, intelligent traffic management system and Public Addressing (PA) system for handling law and order in the City, the company said in a statement./IBNS
